What kind of wax do you use?

I primarily use vegan hard wax from a small business called Mermaid Wax, also located in Austin TX!

For large service areas such as legs or a full back, I just introduced a new roll-on soft wax that helps the service move quicker, and overall, I have had great feedback on the soft wax feeling less painful and not hot at all!

Do you offer any products?

Yes! I currently retail Bushbalm and Lady Peng ingrown hair and exfoliation products in my suite. Guests can only purchase a product as an add-on to a booked service!

What should I do after my wax?

Post Wax DO's:

- Do keep your skin hydrated! Use your ingrown hair product once more the same day as your wax, and twice the next day! This ensures that your pores stay protected through the post wax sensitivity

- Do feel amazing and get yourself a lil treat, because you just conquered the hardest part of your day, and it wasn't even that bad!!

- Do wear sun protection if you need to be outside :)

- Do tell all your friends and take advantage of the referral system!!

- Do come back within 3-6 weeks to stay consistent for your hair growth cycle

What shouldn't I do after my wax?

24- 48 HOURS POST WAX DONTS:

- Do not get your freshly waxed skin too sweaty. This causes irritation and could lead to clogged pores and ingrown hairs in a time when your skin is extra sensitive!

- Do not go swimming. No pools, hot tubs, lakes etc. Your pores are going to stay open for 24-48 hrs post wax, so we want to keep the skin as clean and safe while we can to maximize the service benefits!

- Do not exfoliate! We just exfoliated your skin with the wax. Wait 2-3 days before getting back into it. Make sure youre exfoliating about 2-3x weekly for the best hair growth and blemish control as they start to grow back

- Do not go out in the sun without protection! Like I said above, your skin has just been exfoliated so make sure to wear sunscreen (and wash it off!!!) and or a hat- umbrella etc. if you need to be outside while your skin is a little extra sensitive

- Do not use hot water when you bathe later. Your freshly exfoliated skin may be a little tender and feel like a sunburn if the water is too warm post wax.

- Do not pick at your skin!! I know we all do it sometimes, but try your best not to!! If you simply must, do it after a shower when your skin is warm and your pores are open. PLEASE use some tweezers and not your finger nails lol.. this is how you get little scabs that turn into a hot, painful mess & you likely wont get the hair that way. We don't need all that!!

What to do if I've never had a wax!?

- For most body waxing, make sure your hair is around 1/4 of an inch, or about the size of a grain of rice! This usually takes between 2-4 weeks of growth after shaving, depending on how coarse your hair is! 
     - If you try to pull up for a bikini wax within a week of shaving, I will likely turn you away because we wont be able to grab much of the hair & that is just a painful waste of time (for us both)

- Exfoliate your bod! Removing the layer of dirt and dead skin 2-3 days prior to coming in is very helpful for me to provide a clean wax that removes the maximum amount of hair. Also, no... your loofah does not count as an exfoliating device ;)

- Hydrate or diedrate!! Drink lots of water and moisturize your bod a few times before you come in! The softer your skin is, the easier your hair will come out. Dry skin leads to broken hairs and potentially more tweezing!

- Come in clean! If you are coming in for a face wax, please remove any makeup you may be wearing before you come in. This saves us time and ensures you get the best wax possible.
